The past week has been pretty crazy! I officially flew back to South Florida for a few days, where I spent some precious time with my family. I also officially decided to attend a discipleship program through Adventures in Missions called “Center for Global Action” while I was home. What what!!?

I finally made the commitment after looking at my life through the lens of eternity and where I would like to be. I just want to continue learning, growing, and being stretched into new places. I enjoy pouring into the lives of others and I absolutely want to be used by God to open people’s eyes to their gifting’s and callings. I love seeing people walk in the fullness of who God created them to be and fully using their gifts and talents to advance the kingdom of God. I want to be a part of the process. I also know that this is a season where I need to be poured into.

During my five months with ‘Center for Global Action’, we’ll learn how to know self, lead self, lead others, and take ownership. I am really excited! We also live in community housing and the girls in my house are the sweetest! I am excited to grow with them in healthy community while learning what it’s like to create a culture of love and safety within our home.

We are also required to obtain a part time job while in the program. As some of you may know, I was working as a nurse before I left for the World Race in August 2017. I feel like there is no better place for me to meet broken, hurting, physically sick, and addicted people, other than the hospital. This is the biggest reason why I specifically feel called to go back into nursing for this season. Because of the Monday through Friday schedule of CGA, I can only work one day a week (nursing shifts are 12 hours). So, hopefully I get the nursing job I interviewed for on Friday, but, I know that God is always good and he will provide something. I have also always wanted to work in a coffee shop! Simply because coffee is one of my favourite drinks in the entire world and I would love to grow in my hospitality skills. So, aside from discipleship school, I would love to pursue nursing and coffee making as well.

I am also expected to serve the community in some capacity. I’m currently looking to serve with young life (middle and high schoolers) and, there’s also a pretty big refugee population here in Georgia that I’m hoping to get plugged in with soon. From what I’ve heard, they are coming to Christ, and I want to be a part of that missions movement here in the States!

The cost of the program is $5,950. My first deadline of 2000$, which was due on move-in day, January 18th, but there is an extension of grace due to my later sign on with the program. I would love it if you would consider partnering with me, whether it’s through finances, prayer, or opting to receive monthly updates.

I am also required to use a new blog website for CGA discipleship. This is what it is!
